- Most important question: Do you have time for a part-time MBA program? Plan on at least 10 hours of homework/group work/reading per class (and the classes themselves, of course).
- Really study for the GMAT. For every person who strolled in and sailed through without studying is a person who forgot their college algebra (not to mention calculus). Assume you're the second person.
- Be realistic about your finances. Check into employer assistance, and be aware of what it doesn't cover. Remember that books can cost hundreds of dollars, sometimes for just one (recent single textbook purchase - $173!). If you'll be paying yourself, ensure that the costs (both direct and opportunity costs - you'll learn about those) are something you feel that you can make up once you've pocketed your degree.
